ABS, PP and PU Body Kits: A Material-Verification Guide
Material labels are only a starting point. Compare the actual part, its finish and the documentation for the SKU you intend to buy.
Separate material claims from the actual item
ABS, polypropylene (PP) and polyurethane (PU) are different polymer families; properties depend on formulation, wall thickness, processing and part design. Do not infer impact performance or suitability from a material acronym alone. Ask the seller to identify the material of each component.
Inspect finish and mounting points
Ask for close-up images of edges, mounting tabs, hole locations and surface finish. For paint-ready programs, confirm whether the item arrives finished, primed or unfinished and request a sample before approving a batch.
What DUKAI currently lists
This catalogue lists ABS as its standard body-kit material, with several finish options shown in product specifications. This is not a claim that DUKAI sells PP or PU versions. Confirm the exact material, finish, test documentation and tolerances in the item-specific quotation.
Evidence note: DUKAI catalogue and company details describe the current offering; other sections are general buyer checks. This guide does not establish model-specific fitment, test results or overseas sales statistics.
